This year we have updated our workshop lengths to better meet the needs of the workshop and you. You will find quick 90-minute & 2-hour workshops, a longer 4-hour workshop, and our standard 3-hour, 6-hour and 2-day workshops.
Don't be confused by this however, you will find the workshop schedule by day below to visualize the class offerings.

We will concentrate on metal clay in the morning, then while our clay is firing we'll choose our beads from a great assortment of Swarovski crystals and pearls. Learn how to create and size toggles.

In this 3 hour class students will explore the beauty and value of a stark white material, moldable and responsive, into a grouping of forms that can be the basis for any jewelry or sculptural idea wanting to take form. We will be mold-making and casting paper. Students will leave with a grouping of shapes, ready for the next incarnation.

Technique: Metalsmithing
Students will learn about annealing and use of the proper tools and equipment needed to perform air chasing. We will use copper pipe and copper sheet to make the cuffs, then apply a patina to enhance depth and dimension. Heat patinas will be explored as well. No experience necessary and all tools and supplies are provided.

Technique: Enameling, Metalsmithing, Mixed Materials, Wire Work
Add a new dimension to copper without breaking your budget! From copper piping, wire and enamel we will create a vibrant bracelet. In this class we will touch on torch fired enamel, sawing, and shaping techniques. Students will complete project. Additional materials and tools maybe purchased from instructor.



If a workshop is canceled by the instructor or by Bead Fest Philadelphia a full refund will be given to the registered students, or the registered student may change into another workshop for no additional fee - we will apply full value of the canceled classand the student will pay or be refunded the difference.

Workshop Changes:

Registrants may change a workshop through end of day Wednesday, July 2, 2014.
A $25 per workshop change fee will be assessed.  Workshops are non-transferable between Events.

Registrants understand that workshop skill level and prerequisites are listed for each workshop. No refunds or changes will be made to registrants for any reason related to skill level or prerequisites.


If you cancel your workshop registration by the end of day Wednesday, July 2, 2014: You will be refunded 100% of workshop cost, minus $35.00 per workshop.
From July 3rd until the event, there is a 0% refund for workshop fees and kits will not be mailed or refunded for canceling/changing the workshop.

No changes can be made after Wednesday, July 2, 2014.

Online registration will close at 11:59 PM on Sunday, August 17, 2014.
