Time: 8:30 AM-4:00 PM Level: All Levels Technique: Metalsmithing, Mixed Materials Treated properly, leather can have many of the same properties as metal. Learn to dap, dye, pierce, embellish, and apply closures to leather to create a cuff of any width you desire. No experience with leather necessary. This is a great introduction to working with leather, using both metal and traditional leather tools. |

| Kim St. Jean Time: 8:30 AM-4:00 PM Level: All Levels Technique: Metalsmithing, Mixed Materials In this class, you will learn how to create a bezel set pendant using copper and brass. You will be given a choice of bone faces in which to choose from, then you will solder a bezel to fit. We will learn about sweat soldering and butt soldering in creating the base for your bezel. You will use a jewelers saw to saw out your base pieces prior to soldering down your bezel. A liver of sulfur patina will be added to your finished product to enhance the depth and dimension of your metals. All skills used can be applied in using sterling silver as well. |

Students will learn an easy method to create links using commonly available low-tech tools. Learn to combine beads and bead-like electrical resistors to create an edgy-looking necklace with just the right amount of color. Students will also make their own connecting links and hammered and wire-wrapped clasps. |

| Debbi Simon Time: 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM Level: All Levels Technique: Bead Stringing/Knotting, Epoxie Clay Transfe'rer -- Create stunning beads that have the look of being aged out of epoxie clay, bead channels, and paper copy transfers. Finish off with small epoxie clay pav beads and chain for an eclectic but contemporary look customized for you. Epoxie clay is such a versitile medium for jewelry artist. Through this class, you will learn a variety of techniques for using the clay including transfers, molding and coloring. The options are endless. |

POLICIES
If a workshop is canceled by the instructor or by Bead Fest Spring a full refund will be given to the registered students, or the registered student may change into another workshop for no additional fee - we will apply full value of the canceled classand the student will pay or be refunded the difference.
Workshop Changes:
Registrants may change a workshop through end of day Thursday, Feburary 28, 2013.
A $25 per workshop change fee will be assessed. Workshops are non-transferable between Events.

Registrants understand that workshop skill level and prerequisites are listed for each workshop. No refunds or changes will be made to registrants for any reason related to skill level or prerequisites.
Cancellation/Refunds:
If you cancel your workshop registration by the end of day Thursday, Feburary 28, 2013: You will be refunded 100% of workshop cost, minus $35.00 per workshop.
From February 29th until the event, there is a 0% refund for workshop fees and kits will not be mailed or refunded for canceling/changing the workshop.
No changes can be made after Feburary 28, 2013.
A $10 on-site registration fee will be charged to students registering at the show.
Online registration will close Tuesday, April 9, 2013.
